From RAA-Oshawa
Welcome to RAA Oshawa's Website
We are the members of the Oshawa, Ontario (CYOO) chapter of the Recreational Aircraft Association of Canada.
This website will give you some information about what we do, and why we do it. Come join us monthly at our meetings at the RCAF 420 Wing on the last Monday of each month, 19:30 from September through June - except December, when we have our Awards Banquet.
We're informal, and open for visitors who have a passionate interest in all types of Recreational Aviation.
RAA Oshawa District is a self-help group of Oshawa area aircraft flyers, builders and enthusiasts. The Oshawa RAA District is part of a larger organization, The RAA.
The Recreational Aircraft Association is a Canadian organization for pilots, aircraft builders, and enthusiasts. The association represents it's members to Transport Canada in the developing and improving of aviation regulations.
RAA has over 50 chapters across Canada and our Oshawa chapter is one of them. Over the years, many Oshawa members have contributed their talents to RAA.
The original intent of the organization was to help members construct their own airplanes and to act as a club for local flyers and enthusiasts. These purposes still exist, but RAA Oshawa District has grown to become a respected voice in the operations and improvement of the Oshawa airport. The chapter is also represented on the Airport Advisory Committee and the Airport Tenants Association.
Upcoming Meetings January meeting, expected, come out and hear the story of cross country flying , when Chris Gardiner and Ed Mcdermid team up in their KR2 and Zodiac 601 for a speedy cross country adventure
